La obra está compuesta de un estudio preliminar sobre los aspectos codicológicos, paleográficos y textuales que exhibe el códice, a los que sigue la edición diplomática del mismo. Esta edición representa la primera empresa en lengua española de una edición completa de un códice árabe cristiano.
