Synopsis "Codicia de Poder (in Spanish)"

España, principios de 1936. En un pueblo cualquiera de Castilla la Vieja, un joven socialista, Mateo, se enfrenta, defendiendo y divulgando el socialismo en las elecciones generales españolas del 36, a su despota padre, don Pablo —cacique de rancio abolengo y mucho poder—. Don Pablo y sus adlateres: Fernando, el alcalde, y don Maximiliano, el parroco, luchan contra la Republica y sus correligionarios con todos los medios disponibles, algunos drasticos. Pero, sobre todo, intentan aniquilar aquello que huela a izquierdas y no perder su poder.
