A partir de algunas lecturas contemporáneas de los clásicos referidas al género femenino, se describe el paso del modelo naturalista en Grecia al culturalismo del sig lo XX, hasta llegar a las actuales filosofías de la otredad y la diferencia. Se constata que ni siquiera estas brindan respaldo teórico a la emancipación de las mujeres. La general incomprensión de que el pensamiento es en sí mismo asexuado empuja inopinadamente a pensadoras y pensadores hacia la misoginia. El libro concluye apostando por un nuevo materialismo.
