En este volumen el autor se adentra en el círculo literario de Leonid Kanneguíser (Yesenin, Tsvietáieve, Kuzmin...) jefe de la checa de Petrogrado, el poeta soldado Gumilov, las cartas de Anna Ajmátova a Stalin pidiéndole la liberación de su hijo o la 'fiesta de la muerte' del año 1937 cuando el gobierno conmemoró el centenario de Pushkin con una salva de disparos contra escritores vivos. La presente obra es un análisis exhaustivo y riguroso de los descubrimientos del autor en los archivos de la Lubianka: informes clasificados, documentos que se creían perdidos para siempre, obras inéditas de los autores represaliados que por fin han visto la luz. Como colofón a esta magna investigación se ha incluido un índice onomástico común a los tres volúmenes de la serie a fin de ofrecer al lector español información que complemente la ya aportada en el corpus de la obra, con el objetivo de que sea una herramienta imprescindible para la exacta localización de los nombres que aparecen referenciados en los tres volúmenes.
