Synopsis "Cuando el Arbol Canta (in Spanish)"

Cuando el árbol canta es un mosaico de escenas de la vida de un niño griego que, durante la ocupación nazi en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, se inicia en la vida y en el mundo que le ha tocado vivir. Los ojos del niño magnifican todo lo que perciben y convierten en una figura de tintes mitológicos a su abuela. Ésta le cuenta la fábula del árbol que canta y se ocupa de él ante la ausencia de unos padres cuyo paradero se desconoce. Un niño, pues, que vive con intensidad las aventuras de los combatientes de la montaña y que, pese a la guerra, celebra la vida, los ritos de su gente, el descubrimiento del sexo y la madurez anticipada en un pequeño pueblo, convertido en un mítico territorio donde todo, y nada, pasa.
