Originalmente concebida como una colección de 24 volúmenes con un cuento para cada día del año, esta obra maestra de Pirandello consiste de los 233 cuentos que logró escribir antes de morir. Aunque escribió novelas y cuentos, Pirandello es mejor conocido como dramaturgo de tragedias fársicas, y estos tres volúmenes agrupados en un estuche le ofrecen al lector acceso a otra cara del ganador del Premio Nobel.
