En 1970, Ernestina de Champourcin publicaba en la Biblioteca de Autores Cristianos la antología Dios en la poesía actual, que reunía a autores de lengua castellana, tanto españoles como hispanoamericanos. El mayor de ellos era Miguel de Unamuno (1864), y el menor, Carlos Murciano (1931). Con esta antología se ha querido continuar aquella otra pero ahora arrancando de poetas exclusivamente españoles y nacidos a partir de 1950, con las excepciones de Miguel d+Ors (1946) y Eloy Sánchez Rosillo (1948). Desde ellos hasta Bárbara Grande Gil y Sergio Navarro, ambos de 1992, comprende el arco de los seleccionados, salvo Mario Míguez (1962-2017), todos vivos.
