Jorge Bucay nació en Buenos Aires en 1949. Se graduó de Médico en la Universidad de Buenos Aires (1973) y se especializó en enfermedades mentales. Es psicodramatista y psicoterapeuta gestáltico.Autor de cinco obras: Cartas para Claudia (1989), Rencuentos para Demián (1994), Cuentos para pensar (1997), De la autoestima al egoísmo (1999) y Amarse con los ojos abiertos, publicadas por la editorial Del Nuevo Extremo y cinco títulos en coedición con Editorial Sudamericana: El camino de la autodependencia (2000), El camino del encuentro (2001), El camino de las lágrimas (2001), El camino de la felicidad y Shimriti. De la ignorancia a la sabiduría. Los libros del doctor Jorge Bucay se publican actualmente en México, Uruguay, Chile, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Puerto Rico y España.
