La historia comienza con Sofía, una psicóloga que se encuentra cenando en un buen restaurante de Nueva York con su esposo Daniel. En lugar de estar pasando una agradable velada, están peleando por un comentario de Sofía, refiriéndose a la prometida de un amigo de ambos como vulgar. Daniel la tacha de racista y elitista, la pelea incrementa con elalcohol de por medio, al final en el cuarto de hotel se reconcilian placenteramente. Se mudarán de Puebla a la Ciudad de México. Durante la fila para recoger a sus hijas de la escuela, conoce a una señora libanesa, elegante, la institutriz de una familia alemana. Comienzan a ser amigas. Sofía no sabe el nombre de ella, y aun así la señora le confía su historia, misma que es muy interesante que quizás la pueda ayudar para la próxima novela que quiere escribir Sofía; ella le habla de tríos, orgías y demás experiencias sexuales, además del abuso de la madre que permite que Sofía comience a odiarla aún sin conocerla.Mientras que Nadia le va contando todas sus experiencias con distintos hombres, Sofía piensa que algo debe cambiar entre ella y Daniel, así que empieza a fantasear con un colega suyo, ya que su marido no le hace caso. Así, la relación entre Nadia y Sofía se va estrechando y comienza a confundirse en las emociones de esta última. While in the pick-up line at her daughters’ school, Sophia meets an elegant Lebanese woman, governess of a German family, and they soon start a friendship. Sofia does not even know her name yet, and even so, the lady confides her life story; a story so interesting that she may want to use it for the next novel Sofía is looking to write. The woman tells her about threesomes, orgies, and other sexual experiences, as well as the abuse by her own mother. While Nadia is telling her all her past experiences with different men, Sofia begins to realize that something must change between her and Daniel, and so she begins to fantasize about a colleague of hers. Thus, the relationship between Nadia and Sofia becomes closer and Sofia’s emotions begin to get blurred. However, the end will trigger such an unexpected twist , one that the reader could never have imagined.
