Stroffo Gertweger (West-Woensel 1962) is voormalig eigenaar van een luxe-zaak in filet-américain. Aangezien zijn vrouw Vianda uit Tilburg afkomstig is en aangezien hij voorouders had in de achttiende eeuw, was het voor Stroffo niet meer dan logisch deze twee (ogenschijnlijk triviale zaken) met elkaar te verbinden. De smaak van Stroffo Gertweger is sober, zo was zijn winkel ingericht met witte lakens. De invloed van het Tilburgs op het standaard-Nederlands van de achttiende eeuw zou daar metaforisch en symbolisch voor kunnen zijn.
