Synopsis "Dictamen Sobre Dios (in Spanish)"

José Antonio Marina continues with his work as a cultural detective, this time with an extraordinarily complicated case, which recent events have propelled into the limelight: God and religion. This research has led the author to conclusions that he was not expecting. Firstly, it led him to a denial of theology. Then to an affirmative theology, but tautological. And finally, to the need to head towards second generation religions which are subject to universal ethical criteria, and allow for the distinction between private truths and public truths. At the end of this work there is an outline for what could be the acceptable ethical brand for current religions. This is something which although it would be slow to take hold, religions would be sure to eventually accept.
