"Vermicompost Movement" is going with multiple objectives of community waste management highly economical way of crop production, which replaces the costly chemical fertilizers, and poverty eradication programs in villages. It also concluded that vermicompost is particularly good for farmers, consumers and ultimately for soil as it can be used as a resource for maximum crop productivity with more financial output in comparison to those chemical fertilizers. The highest productivity by vermicompost treatment may be due to the improvement of physico-chemical properties of the soil. Soil quality has been significantly improved with vermicompost amended pots. Number of leaf, leaf length and plant height at 45 DAS was significantly increased due to application of vermicompost in soil over to control.Application of vermicompost had increased plant fresh and dry weight at 45 DAS significantly in soil All the combinations of vermicompost gave the better results in comparison to no vermicompost in regard to growth and yield of spinach.
