¿Dónde estabas el 11-S? ¿Dónde estabas cuando cambió el mundo?El cielo cambia cuenta la historia personal de Claire, una joven de treinta y pocos años a quien un accidente de coche le impide continuar con su brillante carrera como bailarina, sumiéndola en una profunda crisis personal.Al comienzo de la novela Claire y su novio, Anthony, se reúnen con unos amigos en un restaurante del centro de Londres, para celebrar el cumpleaños de él. El encuentro tiene lugar el mismo día que se cumple el primer aniversario de los atentados terroristas al metro de Londres en julio de 2005, de los que Claire fue víctima. A partir de ahí, Claire hace un repaso de su vida a través de cuanto la rodea, poniendo en tela de juicio diversos temas de actualidad de nuestra sociedad.
