Francisco José Cruz (Alcalá del Río, Sevilla, 1962) fue codirector de la revista de creación Ritmo de viento (1986-1989) y dirige en Carmona, desde su fundación en 1990, la revista de poesía Palimpsesto. Ha publicado los libros de poemas: Prehistoria de los ángeles (Premio Barro de Poesía, Sevilla, 1984), Bajo el velar del tiempo (Sagunto, 1987), Maneras de vivir (I Premio Renacimiento de Poesía, Sevilla, 1998; México, 2004; Bogotá, 2006), A morir no se aprende (Málaga, 2003; Bogotá, 2006) y Hasta el último hueso. Poemas reunidos 1998-2007 (Mérida, Venezuela, 2007).Es, además, autor de varias compilaciones y ediciones de poetas hispanoamericanos.
