Synopsis "El Principio de Eva: Por una Nueva Femineidad (in Spanish)"

Eva Herman aborda el tema de la reducción de la natalidad en Alemania y otros países de Europa, estudiando sus causas y consecuencias. Asimismo, se detiene sobre los efectos a medio plazo que probablemente tendrá una educación despersonalizada de los niños. El principal culpable de esta distorsión social, según Herman, es la emancipación de la mujer y el hecho de que ésta dé prioridad a su carrera laboral, a su independencia y a su realización personal –que según ella es una mentira–, renunciando a formar un hogar y a tener hijos. Se propone un regreso a los valores tradicionales, a la función de esposa y madre, o al desempeño de un papel similar dentro de la comunidad, dejando que el hombre vuelva a asumir en toda su plenitud su papel de proveedor para la familia.
