Javier Sicilia narra la vida de Jacques Fesh, personaje francés nacido en 1930, en el seno de una familia agnóstica y burguesa. Nada en su vida parecía llevarlo por el derrotero del crimen. El reflejo de lo oscuro es una meditación sobre el misterio del mal como un camino hacia la redención.
