When skeletons are cold, however, they can only be warmed by one kind of coat: human skin. The thieving skeleton steals the boy’s flesh to warm himself, and now the boy has become the skeleton, cold and looking for a "coat" of his own with which to warm himself. En este cuento único que combina un humor negro con el horror espeluznante, un niño escucha un sonido desconcertante una noche y teme que hay un monstruo en su cuarto. Cuando investiga el sonido, lo que descubre no es un monstruo, sino un esqueleto con frío cuyos huesos tiriten y repiquetean. El frío de los esqueletos, sin embargo, sólo se quita con un tipo de abrigo: la piel humana. Este esqueleto ladrón roba la piel del niño para calentarse, y ahora es el niño el que se ha convertido en esqueleto, pasando frío y buscando un "abrigo" propio con el cual arroparse.
