La narradora comenzó a escribir estos cuentos luego de asistir a varios talleres de creación literaria con el destacado escritor chileno Gonzalo Contreras. Sus talleres la impulsaron a seguir escribiendo durante los siguientes doce años, contando ya con algunas habilidades y apoyándose en las correcciones del escritor mencionado. El año 2020, funesto para la mayoría de los chilenos, la hizo mantenerse recluida en su hogar por la pandemia. Dichas circunstancias le permitieron recopilar veintinueve cuentos breves, interesantes por su antigüedad y temática, pues se incorpora lo rural y lo urbano, tanto en el plano nacional como en el de otras regiones y países.
