Francesc Vicenç Garcia, popularment conegut com Rector de Vallfogona, fou un capellà al servei dels marquesos de Montcada dins les Espanyes del Segle d’Or, que visqué entre el Principat de Catalunya i la cort de Madrid/Valladolid durant el regnat Felip III (1584-1621). Garcia fou un bufó intel·ligent i traçut al servei de la noblesa catalana des del braç eclesiàstic, i fou part del cercle literari de Barcelona amb Ramon Calder (Calderón de la Barca) i Rafel Cervera (Miguel de Cervantes).
