Many people go through life in a rather hit-or-miss fashion, casting about for ideas to explain why their projects improve or decline, why they are successful or why they are not. Ron Hubbard made a breakthrough in the subject of logic and reasoning which led to his development of the first truly effective way to search for and consistently find the actual causes for things. Knowing how to investigate gives one the power to navigate through the random facts and opinions and emerge with the real reasons behind success or failure in any aspect of life. By really finding out why things are the way they are, one is therefore able to remedy and improve a situation-any situation. This is an invaluable technology for people in all walks of life.
Lafayette Ronald Hubbard (Tilden, Nebraska, 13 de marzo de 1911-Creston, California, 24 de enero de 1986), conocido también como L. Ron Hubbard, fue un escritor estadounidense de libros de ciencia ficción y fantasía, filósofo, y el fundador de la Iglesia de la Cienciología. En 1950, Hubbard escribió Dianética: la ciencia moderna de la salud mental y fundó una serie de organizaciones para promover la dianética.
En 1952, Hubbard perdió los derechos de Dianética en unos procesos de bancarrota y, a continuación, fundó la Cienciología. Posteriormente, Hubbard supervisó el crecimiento de la Cienciología como una organización a nivel mundial.
Hubbard fue considerado por la revista Smithsonian como uno de los cien estadounidenses más importantes de todos los tiempos. En 1994 fue premiado con el Premio Ig Nobel de Literatura.
