En las últimas décadas, el ejercicio del liderazgo eclesial experimentó un sinnúmero de cambios. Este nuevo perfil de liderazgo se ha erigido, en gran manera, con marcos procedentes de la empresa privada y el mundo corporativo.Por todo lo anterior es que se hace perentorio examinar los actuales modelos de liderazgo cristiano, sobre todo saber de dónde surgen y cuán cercanos están a los valores del Evangelio del Reino. En otras palabras, la renovación del liderazgo cristiano reclama un regreso a sus fuentes bíblicas, a su raíces espirituales y, sobre todo, al ejemplo y modelo de Jesús de Nazaret, "el que afirma que permanece en él debe vivir como él vivió" (1 Juan 2:6). Al fin y al cabo, es Jesús nuestro modelo de vida, antes de Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates u otro de los nuevos gurús del emprendimiento y del éxito.Cada uno de los capítulos examina en detalle el perfil de Josué como líder, pero sin quedarse en aquellos siglos de la escabrosa conquista militar, tan llena de violencias inconcebibles para nuestro siglo. Nuestros dos autores, con suma sensibilidad pastoral se preguntan por las lecciones para el ministerio de nuestros días.
