Synopsis "La Invencion del Cristianismo (in Spanish)"

El emperador Constantino vivio en una epoca de transicion de las mas dramaticas de la historia. El paso del bajo imperio romano hacia la edad media provoco numerosos cambios en la escena social y politica de todo occidente. A partir del siglo iv, se incorporan a la escena nuevos actores que, bajo la direccion del emperador, iran sentando las bases para consolidar el papel de la iglesia como poderosa institucion. Haciendo caso omiso del reparto de poder que habia empezado Diocleciano con el sistema de la tetrarquia, Constantino se propuso concentrar todo el imperio en sus manos bajo el signo de la cruz, hacer del cristianismo una senal de identidad, y fundar Constantinopla como nueva capital del imperio.
