After a review of the lives of 20 prominent women in Christianity, including Isabel de Villena and Teresa of Ávila, the author concludes that feminist theology affirms that God created women and men equal in dignity. With this conclusion as a starting point, the author elaborates on what this revelation means in the context of various historical periods, such as pre-modernity and modernity. Finally, this book explores feminist theology in its function as a critical theology that originates from an experience of contradiction and that has a twofold object: to expose the aspects of commonly accepted wisdom that generate contradictions and to attempt to offer theologically consistent alternative interpretations that can overcome these contradictions. Después de un repaso de las vidas de 20 mujeres prominentes en la Cristiandad, incluyendo a Isabel de Villena y Teresa de Jesús, la autora concluye que la teología feminista afirma que Dios creó a las mujeres y a los hombres iguales en dignidad. Partiendo de esta conclusión, la autora elabora sobre qué significa esta revelación en el contexto de varias épocas históricas, tales como la pre-modernidad y la modernidad.
