Este libro se ofrece como introducción a un acercamiento exegético-teológico a algunos textos lucanos y paulinos. Una idea rectora de estas notas es que no es posible comprender en profundidad el mensaje de los textos bíblicos y, por tanto, hacer teología a partir de ellos, si antes no se ha realizado una exégesis profunda y rigurosa. Las cuestiones que deberían tenerse en cuenta para hacer una correcta exégesis son muy variadas. La exégesis cuenta con unos instrumentos, unas metodologías y acercamientos, que se han ido enriqueciendo con el tiempo. A muchos de ellos se recurre al abordar los textos que hay este libro: metodologías de corte histórico y filológico; acercamientos sincrónicos como son los análisis narrativo, semiótico y retórico; recurso a las tradiciones judías y a sus criterios hermenéuticos; la intertextualidad; la lectura de los Padres de la Iglesia.
