Después de graduarse, estudió Artes Gráficas de 1973 a 1977 en París en el estudio de Paul Lemagny. En 1991 Christian tuvo una reunión decisiva con Marie Pré. Ella le presenta el enfoque pedagógico del mandala. También lo alienta a seguir su ejemplo: dibujar mandalas en blanco y negro que serán coloreados por niños o adultos.
