Synopsis "Me Llamo Marie Curie: La Radioactividad me va a Regalar dos Premi os Nobel (in Spanish)"

Esta insigne y abnegada científica francesa, de origen polaco (nació en Varsovia), tuvo la suerte de vivir su infancia en un hogar culto, amante de la lectura y ansiosa de conocimientos. Tras ampliar estudios en la Sorbona, sus investigaciones le llevaron a descubrir la radiactividad del torio y del radón. Contrajo matrimonio con Pierre Curie, con quien trabajaría intensamente y descubriría el polonio y el rodio, siendo ambos galardonados con el premio Nobel de Física. Tras la muerte de su marido, fundó el Instituto del Radio, y durante la Primera Guerra Mundial contribuyó eficazmente, con las aplicaciones de los rayos X, a la asistencia de los heridos. En 1911 se le concedió el premio Nobel de Química, convirtiéndose así en la única persona en toda la historia que ha recibido esta distinción dos veces.
