Los informes de Cristóbal de Albornoz corresponden a un conjunto de documentos que describen los conflictos religiosos en el Perú en la segunda mitad del siglo XVI, se trata de una obra prima en la que se encuentra una amplia información de uno de los movimientos de resistencia indígena hoy conocido como Taki Unquy. Se trata una protesta indígena enmarcada en un profundo ritualismo con tradiciones indígenas prehispánicas, a las cuales sus líderes sumaron ciertos simbolismos católicos. La significación histórica del Taki Unquy, descrito también como Ayra y Talauso, fue de gran impacto en la sociedad colonial y ha generado acuciosas investigaciones durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX en el Perú y en otros países andinos.Ladislao Landa
