Fue cofundador, junto a Bill Bowermande, de Nike y Director de la marca. Dejó de ser directivo de Nike el 28 de diciembre de 2004, aunque siguió siendo presidente de la Junta de Administración. Además, es dueño de la productora de cine Laika.
