Ontologie, Wahrheit und Kausalität stellt den Versuch dar, die ontologische Analyse von Kausalität vor dem Hintergrund der Verteidigung von Ontologie im traditionellen Sinne einer realistischen Kategorientheorie zu führen. In einem ersten metaontologischen Teil wird die Möglichkeit von Ontologie als realistische Kategorientheorie verteidigt und es werden methodologische Grundsätze für ontologische Untersuchungen entwickelt. Im zweiten Teil der Untersuchung werden ontologische Theorien der Kausalität aus der aktuellen Diskussion vor dem im ersten Teil entwickelten metaontologischen Hintergrund evaluiert. Die Analyse von Kausalität als ontologische Relation erweist sich dabei als den anderen Vorschlägen überlegen.
