Pompeo es la gran novela gráfica de Andrea Pazienza y una de las primeras que se realizaron en Europa. A pesar de ser una de las obras capitales del autor, permanecía inédita fuera de Italia hasta el día de hoy. En ella, Pazienza relata la caída en desgracia de un heroinómano que culmina en suicidio; una historia con importantes trazas autobiográficas, ya que el propio Pazienza fue adicto a la heroína y falleció, muy probablemente, a causa de una sobresosis.
