Como cada día de verano, juega con su amigo, camina hasta la tienda del pueblo, visita la tumba de su abuelo. Pero mientras las horas pasan, sus pensamientos van una y otra vez hacia su padre, que trabaja en las minas de carbón, ahí mismo, bajo el mar. Un bello relato, que con un lenguaje simple y cercano, transporta al lector hasta una realidad que marcó la infancia de tantos niños en las minas de carbón del sur de Chile.
