Ray Bradbury nació el 22 de agosto de 1920 en Waukegan, Illinois, Estados Unidos. Su educación académica acabó ahí, pero continuó formándose por cuenta propia hasta que en 1943 se convirtió en escritor profesional. Bradbury , además de novelas, también ha escrito innumerables guiones de televisión, ensayos y poemas.
