His father forced his family of ten into anomadic existence, never staying in one place long enough to become established. Al attended many schools accross the country but managed to stay on top of his studies. He also became highly skilled in different areas, because of his fathers ventures. He was a carpender, mechanic, welder, plumber, electrictration, cook, and excelled in many other fields. he later became a believer in Christ, Jesus and pastored a small church in upstate New York. With his wife Frances, he also has a TV program called the Old Country Church. Al Has written many songs and poems and has a book "Songs and poems of inspiration, for all ages
