Vincent Van Gogh (1853 - 1890), el genio solitario, el hombre apasionado, el loco del pelo rojo, el padre del expresionismo, es uno de los grandes pintores de la historia. Sin embargo, él nunca lo supo. Van Gogh decidió ser pintor a los veintisiete años. Desde ese momento, no paró de trabajar. Su vida fue, aparentemente, un desastre: le despidieron del trabajo, fracasó como misionero, cuando se enamoró no fue correspondido, dependía de la bebida, sufría depresiones, era un desequilibrado, parece que se suicidó. Pero dedicó su vida a lo que más le gustaba: pintar. Y lo hizo muy bien.
