Synopsis "Wager to Romance"

Wager to Romance is a story that captures two people in the daily ritual of business travel and embraces the thrill of beauty, excitement of the opposite sex, and the consequence of their acquaintance. They learn however, due to their individual disciplines, to be patient for twenty-two years to fully enjoy mother natures' gift. With this gift a new beginning occurred and with new life came new possibilities only dreamed of previously, yet standing for the eye to see and love to enjoy. Edward K. Mackendrik was born and raised in Oklahoma. At the expense of the military and civilian employment, he was stationed in Sidi Slimane, Morocco and later conducted air traffic control procedures briefings in St. Louis, Missouri, Los Angeles, Ca. and Mexico City, Mexico. He has also lived and worked in many cities of the United States, managing and observing people as they performed the Air Traffic Control function in both Terminal and EnRoute options. He delights in interesting and humorous stories. In Wager to Romance, he offers us an image of todays' college grad taking on the challenge of marriage, business procedures, banking practices and improvement in beef production through artificial insemination. Mackendrik loves learning and his novel offers us knowledge that we might not find in our own experiences. His progressive work ethic communicates an energy for success in current times.
