Un segundo bloque de contribuciones se centra en las consecuencias del imperialismo británico desde finales del siglo XVIII al inicio del siglo XX. Se trata de investigaciones que analizan las tendencias del comercio, las reacciones y contrarreacciones al dominio inglés y las transformaciones económicas y sociales que tuvieron lugar en la sociedad norteamericana contemporánea.
