Hiroshi Doi

Hiroshi Doi (Okayama, Japan, 1935) is an internationally recognized Reiki master and founder of the Gendai Reiki Ho system, which merges traditional Japanese teachings with modern Western approaches. A member of the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, the original association founded by Mikao Usui, Doi has dedicated his life to the research and dissemination of Reiki, seeking to preserve its essence and adapt it to contemporary needs. After retiring in 1997, he focused on writing and teaching, sharing his knowledge in various countries and significantly contributing to the global expansion of Reiki

Among his most notable works are Iyashi no Gendai Reiki Ho (1998), A Modern Reiki Method for Healing (2000), Reiki: Energy that permeates the entire universe (2006), Practical Introduction to Reiki Healing (2009), Traditional Reiki: History and essence of Mikao Usui's Japanese Dento Reiki (2020), and Gendai Reiki Ho: The spirit of Usui Sensei and the truth about traditional Reiki (2015). These publications, which span genres such as essays and practical manuals, have been translated into several languages and are considered essential references for practitioners and scholars of Reiki.
