Greg Autry
Greg Autry is a scholar, author, and expert in U.S. space and trade policy. He earned a bachelor's degree in history from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, a master's in business administration, and a PhD in management from the Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine. He is currently an associate professor of Space Commerce and Strategy at the University of Central Florida and a visiting professor at Imperial College London.

Autry is known for his collaboration with economist Peter Navarro on the book Death by China: Confronting the Dragon – A Global Call to Action (2011), where they criticize China's trade practices and their impact on the U.S. industry. They also co-wrote Red Moon Rising: How America Will Beat China on the Final Frontier (2024), addressing the space competition between the two countries.

He has testified before the U.S. Congress twice, discussing issues such as cybersecurity and relations with China. He has also been a member of the Committee on the Present Danger and has participated in international debates on the colonization of Mars. His work has been cited in media outlets like The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Politico, and Washington Post, and he has appeared on television programs such as BBC and CNN.

In addition to his academic work, Autry is the vice president of Space Development at the National Space Society and was the executive producer of the documentary Death by China (2012), narrated by Martin Sheen.

His approach combines criticism of China's trade policies with a strategic vision on space exploration, highlighting the importance of public investment in space technology for economic development and environmental sustainability.
