Peter C. Goztsche

(Denmark, 1949) He is a biologist, physician, and medical researcher, expert in drug analysis known for his work in medical research and for his role in the field of evidence-based medicine. He specializes in internal medicine, and worked in the pharmaceutical industry from 1975 to 1983. He was the creator of the Cochrane Collaboration, along with eighty other people, and the Scandinavian section of this same non-profit association, with which he gained global fame and prestige. He is a professor at the University of Copenhagen in Research Analysis and Design. Throughout his career, he has played an important role in promoting transparency in medical research and in criticizing certain practices and pharmaceutical products.
