Alejandro Escallón. Ten years ago, Alejandro Escallón started a food blog without imagining it would become his life project. B.eats or Bogotaeats, as it was initially called, began as an Instagram account to recommend dishes and restaurants in Bogotá. His passion for food led him to co-found the Smile Group, a restaurant group in Bogotá with concepts like La Pinta, Ideal, Tercer Piso, and Verano. In his quest to connect with his audience, he also co-founded The Gula Group, a company behind the creation of the country's most important gastronomic festivals. Alejandro has dedicated himself to traveling around Colombia and the world. Today, he continues to lead B.eats, a gastronomic platform with over one and a half million followers, aiming to connect people through what he is most passionate about: food.
